Olive green wool serge battle dress blouse belonging to the Royal Canadian Corps of Signals (R.C. Signals). The short, waist-length jacket features two pleated chest pockets with buttoned flaps, a button front closure, and an integrated waist belt with metal buckle.
Both shoulders display dark blue embroidered shoulder titles reading “R.C. SIGNALS.” Above each title are three pips and diamond-pattern insignia, indicating an officer rank. A ribbon bar is mounted above the left breast pocket.
This type of blouse was standard issue for Canadian Army personnel during the Second World War and early postwar years, replacing the earlier service dress tunic.
