A folding clasp knife with steel blades and brass handle scales, produced by T. Turner & Co. of Sheffield, England. The knife features a marlinspike, short can-opening blade, and primary cutting blade, all folding into the handle. A steel lanyard loop is affixed at one end for attachment to a uniform or gear. This model, dating to 1938, follows the British Army standard pattern introduced in 1913, which remained in service through the interwar period.
The design was widely used by both soldiers and naval personnel for everyday field tasks—cutting rope, opening rations, and general utility work. It was later superseded by a 1937–1939 pattern featuring an updated can-opener design.
