Military Trunk

Image par défaut

A metal military trunk painted black with brass-plated corner reinforcements, hinges, and locking hardware. The trunk has a brown leather handle on the front and one missing handle on the side. The top surface has been painted white, with stencilled black lettering identifying the owner and service affiliation.

The interior is lined in light blue paper and divided into two compartments, showing wear and minor tearing along the edges. The brass latches and lock remain intact and functional.

This trunk would have served as a barrack box or sea chest, used by Royal Canadian Navy Volunteer Reserve (R.C.N.V.R.) personnel for the storage and transport of personal belongings and uniform items during service.
