pocket knife

Small folding pocketknife with a single blade, mottled green and black scales (possibly celluloid or horn imitating a tortoiseshell/malachite pattern) with brass pins and a brass bolster/cap at the hinge end. The blade shows moderate surface rust and tarnish; the scales retain their pattern but show wear and small losses along the edges. A small drilled hole near the bolster suggests it may originally have had a ring or chain attachment (compare 2025.019).

A simple folding pocketknife of a common late 19th/early 20th-century type, likely a personal everyday-carry item rather than a presentation or military piece.
