A cloth-encased auxiliary antenna designed for use with the Telefunken PE-484 field radio receiver. The olive-green textile cover encloses a flexible wire conductor, terminating in a dual-prong connector typical of Telefunken radio equipment. One end features a stitched black leather reinforcement patch with a slit for attachment to field gear or the radio casing.
This fabric antenna, also known as a « Hilfsantenne » (help antenna), was used when the operator required a compact, portable signal receiver alternative to the standard telescopic or whip antenna. The cloth covering provided insulation, camouflage, and protection against environmental wear, suitable for field deployment by signal corps operators.
