book

Small pocket New Testament with grey-blue paper-covered boards, front cover decorated with an Art Nouveau scroll-and-vine border framing the title « NEW TESTAMENT » in dark blue ink; no royal cypher or military insignia, unlike the RCAF Testament in the same collection (2025.014).

The flyleaves carry several handwritten signatures and addresses in ink, apparently collected as a memento: « Sefton Dickson, Youth Conference, Magdalen[e] 1942, » followed by « J.E. Bennett, 3473 University St., Montreal, » « Guy Marston, Sandy Beach, » and « W.W. [surname unclear], St. Matthew’s Church, Quebec City. » The Magdalen Islands reference and 1942 date suggest the book was signed at a church youth conference during World War II.
