Rifle Cartridges

Set of six .303 caliber cartridges mounted on a black metal stripper clip. Each cartridge consists of a brass casing and copper-jacketed bullet, typical of .303 British service ammunition used during the Second World War.

The clip, designed for rapid loading, holds the cartridges in alignment for use in Lee–Enfield bolt-action rifles, the standard infantry weapon of the Commonwealth forces. The headstamp markings and patina indicate wartime manufacture.
