Naval Uniform Cord

A set of four white woven cords, each featuring knotted ends and one with an adjustable drawstring-style knot. The cords are made of tightly twisted cotton or hemp and show mild yellowing from age. These cords were used as fastening components beneath naval uniforms, likely for securing collars, flaps, or caps, or for attaching accessories such as a whistle or knife sheath.

Their style and construction are consistent with Royal Navy and Commonwealth naval issue during the mid-20th century, often accompanying uniforms such as the sailor’s jumper or bell-bottom trousers.
