Olive green wool battle dress blouse associated with the 8th Canadian Hussars (Princess Louise’s), a Canadian armoured regiment. The waist-length jacket features two pleated breast pockets with buttoned flaps, a buttoned front closure, and an integrated waistband with a metal buckle.
Both sleeves display red rectangular patches beneath dark blue shoulder titles embroidered in yellow with “8th CANADIAN HUSSARS (PRINCESS LOUISE’S).” A red, navy, and gold braided lanyard is looped around the right shoulder and under the arm. The right sleeve bears an additional circular embroidered patch depicting a helicopter, indicating an aviation-related role or later affiliation.
This style of battle dress was worn by Canadian Army personnel during and after the Second World War.
