Ascot

A broad blue neck scarf, or ascot, designed to be worn looped under the chin as part of a military or formal uniform ensemble. The ascot is made of lightweight cotton fabric, featuring a pointed end and an integrated loop-and-ring fastening strap stitched at one end. A small rectangular tag marked “ASCOT” is hand-labeled in ink and sewn onto the inside of the fastening.

Ascots of this type were commonly used by Canadian and Commonwealth military units for dress and parade purposes, worn beneath an open-collared shirt or tunic to provide a polished, uniform appearance. The blue colour may indicate branch or regimental association, possibly connected to peacekeeping or ceremonial attire.
