Axe Head

A single-bit axe head made of iron or steel, showing signs of heavy rusting and later cleaning. The blade edge has been partially ground to remove corrosion, revealing a silvery metallic surface beneath the rust. The top and sides remain rough and pitted, with dark brown oxidation consistent with prolonged exposure to moisture. The eye (handle socket) is empty but intact.
