Large leather-bound Bible, King James Version, printed with « long s » typography characteristic of 17th–18th century printing. The visible text is from the Book of Genesis (chapters 11–12), including the « Practical Observations » section following each chapter — a commentary format common in 18th-century annotated family Bibles intended for household devotional use. The volume is in an advanced state of deterioration: the leather spine and boards are heavily worn, cracked, and partially detached, with large sections of leather missing or flaking. The textblock has extensive tearing and loss along the outer margins of numerous leaves, with some pages significantly fragmented. Original sewing threads are visible and exposed at the spine.
