Shoe Brush

A rectangular wooden shoe brush with densely packed natural bristles (likely horsehair or boar bristle). The handle shows clear traces of dark polish stains from use, particularly along the edges and base. The wood has a smooth, worn patina consistent with long-term handling.

This type of brush was commonly included in military cleaning or personal kits for maintaining polished boots and leather equipment. Regular maintenance of footwear was a critical part of a soldier’s daily routine to preserve waterproofing and present a proper appearance during inspection.
