British Infantry Officer’s Sword

A British 1845 Pattern Infantry Officer’s Sword with a curved single-edged steel blade, showing etched floral motifs near the ricasso and light surface corrosion throughout. The blade features a broad fuller extending along its length.

The hilt is composed of a brass three-bar guard with the Victorian royal cypher (VR) beneath a crown integrated into its design. The grip is wrapped in brown leather and bound with twisted brass wire, terminating in a decorative brass pommel cap.

This model reflects the 1845 pattern introduced by the British Army for infantry officers, which combined functionality with ceremonial elegance.
