Gold-tone metal officer’s rank insignia pip, star-shaped with eight points and a central medallion bearing the Order of the Bath emblem. The medallion includes three crowns encircled by a laurel wreath and the Latin motto “Tria Juncta in Uno” (“Three joined in one”), picked out in red and green enamel.
A looped metal hook on the reverse indicates attachment to a dress uniform shoulder board or epaulette rather than a sewn version.
