A British infantry officer’s sabre, featuring a straight, single-edged steel blade with floral etching and a pierced steel guard decorated with scrolling foliage and the royal cypher of King George V beneath a crown. The blade shows areas of oxidation and patina consistent with age.
The grip is sharkskin-covered and bound with twisted steel wire, terminating in a steel pommel. The scabbard is nickel-plated steel with two suspension rings and light wear throughout, typical of early 20th-century service pieces.
