pocket knife

Small folding pocketknife with a single blade, scales of streaked reddish-brown and black material (likely bakelite or a similar early plastic imitating woodgrain or « candy stripe » celluloid), each held with a single nickel-colored rivet, and rounded brass/nickel bolsters at both ends. The scale material shows a chipped/faceted loss on the spine edge near the blade hinge. The blade is dull grey with light surface oxidation, no visible maker’s mark in this view.

A simple folding pocketknife of a common early-to-mid 20th century type, likely a personal everyday-carry item.
