Bronze four-pointed star-shaped campaign medal surmounted by a crown, with two crossed swords and a central scroll inscribed 1914–15. The medal is suspended from a silk ribbon with red, white, and blue vertical stripes, representing the colors of the British flag.
The 1914–15 Star was awarded to members of the British and Imperial Forces who served in any theatre of war between 5 August 1914 and 31 December 1915, excluding those eligible for the 1914 Star. It was always awarded with the British War Medal and the Victory Medal.
