Cap Ribbon (Tally) – “ABLE SEAMAN”

Black silk naval cap ribbon featuring the word “ABLE SEAMAN” embroidered in gold wire thread. The ribbon, traditionally tied around the cap band of Royal Canadian Navy enlisted personnel, has frayed ends and is folded at one side. Two examples exist in the collection — one displayed in Glass Case No. 2 (with tree bark), and one kept in storage.
