Compact olive-green portable radio transceiver, model Wireless Set No. 38 MK III. The rectangular metal unit has a frequency dial, calibration adjustment knob, and three connection ports for microphone and headset cables. Two protective metal bars run over the control panel to shield the dials and switches.
A separate side-mounted crystal calibrator unit (No. 9), marked M.R. Ltd., is attached by screws and connected through an insulated black cable. Additional cables for power and headset operation extend from the rear of the device.
