The tan paper cover is printed with the NATO Stock Number « 6665-21-112-0309 » above « PAPER / CHEMICAL AGENT DETECTOR / 3 WAY ». Inside, the front inner cover features printed color reference swatches for identifying chemical warfare agents, labeled « DETECTS LIQUIDS ONLY / POUR LIQUIDES SEULEMENT » with color bars marked « G: » (olive/yellow for nerve agent G), « H: » (red/magenta for mustard agent H), and « V: » (dark green/black for nerve agent V). Facing the color chart is a pad of tear-off detector paper sheets with perforated edges.
