A traditional Nepalese kukri knife with its accompanying black leather scabbard. The curved steel blade has a distinctive inward sweep and a notched base near the hilt, typical of the kukri design used by Gurkha soldiers. The blade exhibits tarnish and surface corrosion from age and use.
The handle is crafted from black horn or resin, adorned with brass inlays and decorative rivets, and capped with a brass pommel. The scabbard is black leather over wood, embossed with geometric patterns and reinforced with a brass chape. A leather frog and straps are attached for belt suspension.
