Helmet

Standard issue U.S. M1 steel combat helmet complete with its fibreglass liner and suspension webbing. The helmet is painted in matte olive drab green with a textured, non-reflective finish. Inside, the liner features khaki canvas suspension straps and a chinstrap affixed to the steel shell via metal clips.

The M1 helmet was the principal headgear used by U.S. and Canadian forces during the Second World War, and it remained in service through the Korean and Vietnam Wars. Its two-piece design—comprising a removable liner for comfort and a steel outer shell for protection—made it both versatile and durable for extended field use.

This example retains most of its paint and the complete liner structure, showing only moderate wear.
