A British Infantry Officer’s Sabre, following the Pattern 1897 design, complete with its brown leather scabbard. The sword features a straight, single-edged steel blade richly etched with floral and symbolic patterns, including a Star of David motif near the base and royal insignia further along the blade.
The pierced steel guard displays finely detailed foliate scrollwork surrounding the crowned VR cypher, representing Queen Victoria. The grip is wrapped in sharkskin (ray skin) and bound with twisted wire, ending in a domed pommel. The scabbard is wood-cored and covered in brown leather, fitted with two steel suspension rings and a brass throat piece.
