Pith Helmet

Khaki-colored tropical helmet made of lightweight compressed fiber covered with cotton canvas. The helmet’s interior is coated in green resin, fitted with a brown leather headband and adjustable chinstrap. Six black ventilation eyelets are symmetrically placed on each side to provide airflow in hot climates. Handwritten inscriptions inside the dome read “KELLY” and “A26957”, likely identifying the original owner and service number.

This type of helmet was commonly worn by military personnel stationed in tropical or desert regions for sun protection during field operations and parades.
