Two curved dark green wool shoulder titles embroidered in bright red thread with the words “QUEEN’S OWN RIFLES.” These insignia were worn on the upper sleeves of the battledress uniforms by members of The Queen’s Own Rifles of Canada, one of the oldest and most distinguished infantry regiments in the Canadian Army. The regiment, headquartered in Toronto, Ontario, served with distinction during both World Wars and continues as part of the Primary Reserve. The contrasting red-on-green design reflects the regiment’s traditional rifle regiment colours.
