RCAF Flight Lieutenant Rank Shoulder Slip-ons

A matching pair of dark blue fabric shoulder slip-ons with two narrow black bands bordered by light blue braid, representing the rank of Flight Lieutenant in the Royal Canadian Air Force. The slip-ons were worn on the service dress jacket or working uniform to denote officer rank. This insignia is equivalent to a Captain in the Canadian Army or Lieutenant (N) in the Royal Canadian Navy. The design reflects the standardized post–1968 pattern introduced during the unification of the Canadian Armed Forces, later reinstated with RCAF-specific styling.
