Bayonet

A socket-type bayonet designed for use with the Mosin–Nagant Model 1891 rifle. The bayonet is made of blued steel and features a cruciform (four-sided) tapered blade, with a hollow mounting socket and a locking ring mechanism at the base for attachment to the rifle muzzle.

This pattern of bayonet was standard issue for Russian infantry during World War I and continued in use through World War II, adapted for the M1891/30, M1938, and M1944 variants of the Mosin–Nagant rifle.
