A ceremonial dagger composed of a polished steel blade, black composite grip, and nickel-plated alloy fittings. The blade bears an engraved inscription in Gothic script. The pommel and crossguard are both silver-toned metal, and the grip is inlaid with an emblem featuring an eagle motif.
The dagger is housed in a black-painted metal scabbard with nickel fittings and a linked suspension chain of metal plaques decorated with geometric motifs. The scabbard shows minor oxidation and surface wear consistent with age.
SS-Ehrendolch (German for « SS honour dagger ») was a ceremonial weapon of the Schutzstaffel (SS).
