First-Aid Dressing

Small rectangular first-aid dressing packet, Carlisle Model, wrapped in waxed brown paper with white printed instructions on the exterior. The packet contains a sterile field dressing and bandage for use in treating open wounds.

The “Carlisle Model” dressing was standard issue for U.S. and Allied troops during WWII. Designed for single-use field treatment, it was carried in web pouches or first-aid tins and featured color-coded instructions to guide soldiers under emergency conditions — the red side faced outward to ensure proper application.
