A World War II–era steel combat helmet of the Brodie type, featuring a shallow domed crown with wide brim and single rivet at the apex. The exterior retains remnants of its original brown paint, heavily oxidized and rusted with age. The interior contains a deteriorated black leather liner secured by a central bolt, and a khaki cotton chinstrap with metal fittings.
This model was widely used by Canadian, British, and Commonwealth troops during the Second World War and was designed to offer protection from shrapnel and debris rather than direct ballistic impact.
