Grave Marker

Hand-carved wooden grave marker made from shipwreck timber, commemorating William Turner, mate of the Lady Seaton. The marker is composed of two vertical planks with a rounded top, similar in style to the companion marker for John Spencer (2002.097.001). The lettering is roughly carved, with irregular spacing and depth.

The surface shows severe weathering, cracks, and loss of wood, particularly near the base, where a large portion is missing.
