Webbing Bag

Rectangular khaki canvas webbing bag with fold-over flap, adjustable shoulder strap, and two metal buckle fasteners. The bag bears both stencilled and hand-written markings identifying it as belonging to G.A. Coakley, serial number C/94668.

This type of small haversack or utility pouch was part of the Canadian Army 1937 Pattern Web Equipment, used for carrying rations, tools, or personal items. The inscriptions indicate its military issue to a specific serviceman, possibly a member of the Canadian Infantry Corps or Coastal Defence unit (CD.877–DD.9).
