Canadian Army “CANADA” Shoulder Titles

Two curved black wool shoulder titles embroidered in red thread with the word “CANADA.” These badges were worn by Canadian Army personnel during the Second World War to denote national identity on the battledress uniform. Such titles were typically worn above the regimental shoulder titles on both sleeves. The red-on-black colour scheme was common across many Canadian units and signified service within the Canadian Army (non-armoured divisions).
